Big O White Ale

A Witbier (Belgian-style wheat beer) brewed with oats, raw and malted wheat, sourwood honey (from our vacation to the Smoky Mountains); spiced with coriander, cloves, orange peel, and orange zest. Very lightly hopped with Tettnanger and Saaz hops. Hazy straw appearance. Aroma of honeysuckle and cloves. Bright sweet and sour taste of honey and spicy citrus, with a slightly bitter finish from the orange peel. Some tartness imparted from the yeast. An earlier version of this beer was the first brewed together by Jessica and Jim. Perfect for sipping on the porch swing on a summer evening.
