Erstenmal Ale (bastardized German for “first try”) was our first attempt at beermaking. I think we did pretty well. Erstenmal is light in color, but not in flavor. This smooth beer's flavor was characterized by the mellow Cascade hops and the smooth carmel-roasted barley.
